Mouse Genome Engineering
Mouse Genome Engineering Unit @BMC
This is a service provided by the BMC in collaboration with the DZNE.
Their unit now offers mouse genome engineering directly at BMC, with an established team that since 2013 has successfully completed 127 of 127 projects within an average time of 6 month (until birth of F1 generation).
They offer full service model generation and provide multiple forms of genome engineering in murine zygotes encompassing:
• introduction of insertions or deletions
• small to large deletions of genomic sequences
• insertion of small tags
• insertion of medium sized inserts (e.g. cDNAs encoding fluorophores or recombinases)
• generation of a floxed allele
• insertion of large cassettes (up to 12 kb)
The service includes all necessary steps (incl. design, vector generation, application for animal experimentation protocol, genotyping of animals of the first two generations and the sequencing of possible off-target sites).
To generate mice that should be kept in the CAM, we can work out the individually best way how to manage this.
